A book about a girl learning that it's alright to be herself.Candace always pretty much does what her family tells her to do and the book tells her journey and struggles to be her own person.There are many scenes when I wanted to choke her for giving in to the pressure her family puts on her and putting a distance between her and Brian.But Brian doesn't give up that easily and keeps pursuing her in all his glory. Ahhh, have I mentioned that he has several tattoos and piercings? Yes, we encounter the cliché of the heavily tattoo'd, scary looking guy who is just a bit of a softie after all. I'm a huge sucker for that though.All in all, the story is sometimes cheesy, sometimes frustrating, sometimes seriously sexy, charged with chemistry between likeable characters and an enjoyable read.I'm definitely glad that I chose to read this :).
